My parents were finally able to visit and I was showing my mom the app on my iPad that I use to do all my illustrations for this newsletter and my mom took my pencil and drew this. (She would like everyone to know, for the record, that she can, and I quote, “certainly draw better than that one”, and that this was just a quick 10 second sketch, but that makes it even sweeter to me.)
She’s kept every drawing I ever drew ever since I was a kid, and in the same way, now I feel like I am trying to immortalize her in every way that I can, which is why I am sharing it here — hanging it up and framing it, in a way, in this personal space where I am collecting things that are important to me. So thank you, for reading this, for being part of that.
